Taskforce arrests man with five human skulls in Plateau state.

A man identified as a former special adviser to the immediate past chairman of Mangu local government in Plateau state, Alhaji Saleh Abershi is now undergoing interrogation before the Plateau state special Taskforce over what he knows concerning the five human skulls found in the ceiling of his house.
Also arrested is a man whose identity was not disclosed but was found with two rounds of seven point sixty two mm in a suck-away behind his residence.
Spokesman of the STF, Captain Salisu Mustapha, who disclosed this while briefing newsmen on last Saturday in Jos did not give the names of the suspects, but said the two were arrested after men of the security outfit conducted series of cordon and search operations within and around Bokkos and Mangu council areas.
Captain Mustapha said the suspect with the five human skulls denied knowledge of the skulls in his house during preliminary investigations until they we’re found.
The STF spokesman also stated that the outfit’s personnel also arrested a man in Foron village of Barkin Ladi with one locally made rifle, a pistol, and one round of seven point six mm special and an empty case each of the same ammunition.
He further stated that another suspect was nabbed with a locally made revolver pistol and five catridges at Busa Buji area, assuring that they will be handed over to the appropriate authority for prosecution.
Investigation by National Accord reveals three versions which led to the arrest of the man with five human skulls, who is said to be a leader of the Fulanis in Mangun ward of Mangu.
One version has it that he was arrested following a tipoff, while another says his name was given by a member of a sect under interrogation in Abuja leading to the dispatch of a team which came in five Hilux vans to arrest him.
According to reports, local government management committee chairman of Mangu local government expressed shock at the incident and appealed to the people of the area to cooperate with the security operatives in the search and cordon exercise in the area.
