The Kano State Fire Service said it saved 15 lives and property worth N104 million from 57 fire incidents in November.
This is contained in a statement issued by the spokesperson of the agency, Mr Saminu Abdullahi, in Kano on Thursday.
Abdullahi disclosed that two persons lost their lives, while property worth N43.7 million were destroyed by fire during the period.
“The Service responded to 12 rescue calls and seven false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.
He cautioned residents to handle fire and other inflammable substances with utmost care, especially during the harmattan.
