Armed bandits

Yet to be apprehended terrorists have killed no fewer than 11 persons and kidnapped unspecified number of villagers from Isa, Goronyo, Sabon Birni and Gada local government areas of Sokoto State, locals have confirmed.
Isa, Goronyo, Sabon Birni and Gada are amongst the 8 local government areas of Sokoto East Senatorial District adversely affected by activities of terrorists and kidnapped for random bandits in the state.
Confirming the recent developments, a member of the State House of Assembly representing the area, honourable, Aminu Almustapha Boza said 11 people were kidnapped from Dan Gari and Gatawa villages of Sabon Birni with numerous others being kidnapped.
Collaborating Aminu Boza’s revelation, another lawmaker from the axis, Aminu Dauda decried that over 50 innocent villagers in Gada local government were kidnapped by these terrorists within 3 days.
The Chairman of Goronyo LGA, Honourable Abdulwahab Hahaha Goronyo also confirmed that there were series of attacks on innocent villagers with over 60 persons were kidnapped from different villages in his domain.
Giving further insights into how people of the Sokoto East Senatorial District have continued to live in perpetual fears over the years, honourable Aminu Boza said, his constituents just like many others in the State now live at the mercy of terrorists.
This according to him, was because, attacks, kidnappings and killings of innocent villagers is gradually becoming a norm in the axis as hardly a day passes by without one of two villages been attached.
Though, the State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Sanusi Abubakar did not pick nor return calls or even respond to text message sent to his mobile line on the incident at the time of filing this report.
Locals however, said, they are already pushed to the wall by these terrorists.
