2023: APC begins ward to ward campaign in Nasarawa

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has embarked on an aggressive ward to ward campaigns in the ten electoral wards in the area.

The party said the ward to ward campaign was part of its strategies to ensure success of the party at all levels.

The campaign rally which kicked started at the headquarter of the council, Obi electoral ward, was well attended by all APC stakeholders of the area on Tuesday.

Executive Chairman of Obi Local Government Council, Joshua Yekpowudu, while declaring the rally opened, described the next month elections as a must win for the party.

The council boss, who is also the Chairman Tinubu, AA Sule/Akabe Campaign Council of the area, called on his people to remain united and committed in ensuring that the party emerges victorious at the poles.

Yekpowudu, who urged the electorates who are yet to collect their PVCs, to use the extended period and do so, called on people of the area to vote massively for candidates of APC, for sustainable development at all levels.

On their parts, Senator Salihu Egyegbola, Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Planning, Daniel Agyeno and Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, Sa’adatu Yahaya who described Governor Abdullahi Sule as God fearing leader and an agent of peace, appealed to the people of the area to vote massively for the Governor and all candidates of the party.

Also speaking at Tudun Adabu and Deddare Electoral Wards, Chairman Universal Basic Education, Mohammed Danazumi, DG NAGIS, Hon. Sunny Agassi, Executive Secretary of Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, David Ayewa, among others appreciated the people of the area for the support accorded the APC administration which is yielding positive results.

They noted that, voting back the party will improve the peaceful coexistence and sustain the gains of democracy in the state.

Also speaking, the House of Representative and State House of Assembly candidates for Lafia-Obi Federal Constituency and Obi one Constituency, Danbala Al-makura and Hawa Mohammed Bawa, who were excited with the massive turn out of people, promised to ensure government presence in their constituencies if elected.

Danbala Al-makura promised to drill borehole for the people of Tudu Adebu Community after listening to their plight on lack access to potable drinking water, which will commence on Monday.

As at the time of filing this report, the campaign train had so far visited Obi, Adabu, Daddere, Agwatashi and Adudu, electoral wards while that of Gidan Ausa 1 & 2, Kyakale, Gwadenye and Duduguru, electoral wards are ongoing and would terminates on Friday.
