Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has tasked the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on effective service delivery in the state as mature age required mature mind.

Dr. Kefas made this appeal on Friday during the 60th Anniversary of the Nigeria Immigration Service , held at the Taraba State Command, Jalingo.

He congratulated the NIS for rendering selfless service for the progress of Taraba State and Nigeria at large, adding that such gesture worth celebrating.

According to him, for the past 60 years the paramilitary are serving the nation in their own capacity.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Alh. Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, said, a child born sixty years ago can never be youths but an adult.

Earlier, the comptroller of Immigration Service, Taraba State Command, Halid Usman Kwa, expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Agbu Kefas for the demonstration of leadership by example to the people of Taraba State.

Halid said, despite the busy schedule and short notice to the governor, he honored the sixtieth NIS anniversary.

Major Highlights of the anniversary include military and paramilitary personnel’s road walk, dance and cutting of the anniversary cake by the governor.
