
All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally received the completed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presidential nomination forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general election.
The nomination forms were handed over to the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, during a ceremony held in Abuja on Friday.
According to the APC, the documents were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari.
The party, in a statement on Friday, said, “Today, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, formally received the duly completed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presidential nomination forms of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, ahead of the 2027 General Election.”

The APC added that, “The nomination forms were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari, during a well-attended ceremony in Abuja.”
Several top figures of the ruling party attended the event, including APC governors led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), the APC caucus in the National Assembly, members of the Federal Executive Council, and other party leaders and stakeholders.
The party described the gathering as a demonstration of unity and support for President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as preparations for the 2027 general election continue.
The submission of the nomination forms marks another step in the APC’s preparations for the next presidential election, with the party’s leadership and key stakeholders rallying behind the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
