Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has announced the completion and opening of the 10-span Oke Fia Flyover in Osogbo, describing the project as a major milestone in his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and easing traffic congestion in the Osun State capital.
The governor made the announcement in a post shared on his official X handle, where he said the project was delivered despite attempts by some individuals to frustrate his administration.
“They tried to stop us. But we built and delivered for the people,” Adeleke said.
According to the governor, the newly completed flyover is designed to address persistent traffic congestion around the busy Oke Fia axis, one of the most important commercial and transportation hubs in Osogbo.
He stated that while some people sought to derail the administration’s progress, his government remained focused on delivering projects that directly improve the lives of residents.
“While some people sought to derail our progress, we refused to be distracted and we have now completed and delivered the 10-span Oke Fia Flyover, a project that answers Osogbo’s cry for freedom from gridlock. This is what delivery looks like.”
Adeleke noted that the infrastructure would enhance connectivity, stimulate economic activities and improve movement within the state capital.
“Infrastructure that works. Connectivity that empowers. Economic vitality unlocked at the heart of our capital. This is deliberate governance, the kind that transforms daily life, not merely promises to.”
The governor further declared that the flyover has been opened for public use, expressing confidence that it would ease traffic, support businesses and fulfill a key campaign promise.
“The 10-span Oke Fia Flyover is now open, untangling our streets, energizing commerce, and fulfilling a promise our administration will not break. This is what happens when leadership prioritizes delivery over excuses.”
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, Adeleke said the project reflects his vision of building a modern and prosperous Osun State.
“Modern infrastructure. Real impact. A future Osun can depend on. This is the Osun we envisioned and this is the Osun we are building.”
