Agriculture best employer of labour globally – NDE

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has reiterated that no single sector engages skilled and unskilled persons globally like the agricultural sector does

The Sokoto State NDE Head of Human Resources Department, stated this at the flag off ceremony of the 2023 Post Agricultural Development Scheme (POST-SADTS) using KASH Model.

He explained that food security is important for national development.

Mr..Abubakar, said the NDE remains committed to their mandate of creating mass employment opportunities especially for Nigerian youths.

According to him, the KASH model became necessary hence it places premium on Knowledge, Attitude, Skill and Habit to be successful in any venture.

Delivering a keynote address on behalf of the Director General of NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fipko, he said the training will identify value addition in agricultural sector and prepare beneficiaries to key into it.

“”The Post SADTS is expected to empower the beneficiaries of our programme to establish, grow and expand agri-enyerprsies of their choice on a sustainable basis””.

While admonishing the 50 participants to be dedicated, NDE Director General assured that aside training them for free, stipends will equally be given to them as well.
On their, Ms. Amina Shehu and Mohammed Idris, who spoke on behalf of other participants thanked NDE for the opportunity given to them. They further assured total commitment to the training and making judicious use of knowledge learnt.
