APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda
All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a statewide free medical and surgical outreach across Taraba State to commemorate the 58th birthday of its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe.
The programme, organised under the Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to provide quality healthcare services to thousands of residents, especially those in vulnerable and underserved communities.
Speaking on the initiative, one of the organisers, Dr. Willamd Goris, said the outreach demonstrates the party’s commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians through practical social interventions.
The exercise began on Monday at the First Referral Hospital, Sunkani, in Ardo Kola Local Government Area and will continue until August 7, while the official flag-off is scheduled for August 8 at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo.
Beneficiaries will receive free medical consultations, health screening, treatment, medicines, counselling, wound care, emergency services and free or subsidised surgical procedures.
Medical teams have also been deployed to health facilities in Wukari, Takum, Bali, Gembu, Bambur and Sunkani to ensure residents across the three senatorial districts benefit from the programme.
The outreach is being implemented in partnership with the Taraba State Ministry of Health and the Libertad Health Foundation to improve healthcare delivery and reduce the financial burden of medical treatment.
Organisers said the initiative, themed ” _Healing Lives, Restoring Hope, Building Healthier Communities,”_ is intended to promote preventive healthcare while leaving a lasting impact on the health and well-being of the people of Taraba State.
