Arsenal beat Tottenham 4–1 in a derby that shifted quickly after a tight first half.
Tottenham went ahead first when Eberechi Eze finished from close range after Arsenal lost possession in a dangerous area.
The finish was simple but effective. Spurs enjoyed a short spell of control after scoring and the home crowd lifted for a few minutes.
Arsenal didn’t panic.
They pushed higher, pressed hard and forced Tottenham into rushed clearances. During a scramble inside the box, the ball dropped kindly and the equaliser went in.
That goal changed the tempo straight away.
Early in the second half came the decisive moment. Viktor Gyokeres found space outside the area and curled a shot into the corner to put Arsenal back in front.
After that, Tottenham lost structure and started giving the ball away under pressure.
Another goal followed when Spurs failed to clear a set piece and Eze grabbed his second to make it 3-1.
From that point, the game felt stretched. Arsenal kept attacking instead of sitting deep.
Gyökeres added his second in stoppage time to complete the 4 -1 scoreline.
Tottenham had one big late chance to reduce the deficit. A powerful effort looked headed for the bottom corner, but goalkeeper David Raya reacted quickly and pushed it away with a strong save on the line. That moment killed any belief of a late comeback.
After full time, Mikel Arteta said his side showed control and maturity in key moments, while stressing the importance of reacting quickly after conceding.
On the Tottenham side, Igor Tudor admitted his team struggled to manage transitions and defensive spacing once Arsenal increased the tempo.
Fans inside the stadium reacted loudly as the goals piled up, with Arsenal supporters celebrating long after the final whistle.
Arsenal strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League after scoring at 31’, 33’, 47’, 61’ and 90+4’ in a second half that belonged completely to them.
