
Atiku Abubakar and former Minister, Rotimi Amaechi
Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has extended warm birthday wishes to former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi describing him as a courageous patriot whose years of service have continued to inspire Nigerians.
Atiku conveyed his message in a post shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, where he praised Amaechi’s contributions to both and the country at large.
“Happy Birthday to my brother and fellow patriot, H.E. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, @ChibuikeAmaechi,” Atiku wrote.
He further commended the former minister for his dedication to national service and steadfast convictions over the years.
“Your courage, conviction, and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria continue to inspire many across the nation,” the former presidential candidate stated.
Atiku also prayed for good health, strength and more years of impactful service for Amaechi.
“I wish you good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to our dear country,” he added.
Amaechi, a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, served two terms as governor of Rivers State before later becoming Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, where he oversaw major rail infrastructure projects during his tenure.
