
A cross section of civil servants writing their promotional exams

The Borno State Deputy Governor, Hon. Umar Kadafur on Tuesday said the ongoing state civil servants promotion exams organised by the Borno State Civil Service Commission was not meant to witch hunt or victimize any civil servant.
He noted that the exercise was purposely organized to ensure adherence and enhance compliance to civil service rules on promotion of public servants towards bringing sanity into the system.

The deputy governor, who stated this at the venue of examination in Maidugiri, was received by The Chairman, Borno State Civil Service Commission, Dr Bulama Mali Gubio, Chairman Examinations Committee, Bar. Yakubu Bukar, and his members as well as the examiners among others.
The Chairman Sub-Committee on Promotion Examinations , Alhaji Wakil Abba said first batch of the professional workers comprises of medical doctors, nurses, midwives, engineers, lawyers and allied staff have been selected out of a total of 3,226 civil servants qualified to write the promotional examinations.
He noted that other categories described as non professional workers will sit for their exams on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
