Super Eagles B squad, led by Head Coach Eric Chelle, has begun preparations for the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025, with 21 players reporting to camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State.
According to Super Eagles Media Officer, Promise Efoghe, the first training session began at 7 p.m. on Monday evening and was held under floodlight.
“A total of 21 players observed the session, while 14 other invited players are expected on Tuesday,” Efoghe said.
The 21 players who reported to camp include Nduka Junior (Remo Stars), Harrison Austin (Ikorodu City FC), Lawal Mustapha (Shooting Stars), Abdulrafiu Taiwo (Rivers United), and Temitope Vincent (Plateau United), among others.
Nigeria, CHAN runners-up in 2018, are placed in Group D of the 19-nation competition, alongside title holders Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
The Super Eagles will face Senegal and Sudan at Amman Stadium, located on Zanzibar Island, and their final group game against Congo will be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
With a strong squad and a clear strategy, Coach Chelle is determined to lead the Super Eagles to victory in the CHAN 2025 tournament. The team’s first training session marked the beginning of a new chapter in their quest for continental glory.
