—Pledges to tour all theaters across the country to boost morale of troops–

Following the mandate given to the Nigerian Army by President Muhammadu Buhari to end violent insecurity in the North East Region and other parts of the country, The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, said he would be at the Theater Commands for a week on operational visits to military formations and troops at the battle field to motivate them to put more efforts in to finishing the war.
Lt. General Attahiru stated this on Monday after displaying cache of armouries recovered by the troops from the Boko Haram insurgents during the recapturing of Marte Town and its surrounding communities in Borno State.
He said the items recovered from the insurgents among others include: 5 anti aircraft guns, 3 General Purpose Machine Guns, one 60 mm, 2 Automatic Grenade Launchers, 2 Fabric Nationale rifles and 23 AK 47 rifles.
The COAS however, vowed to end the war and rid the North East region from insurgency as well as in other parts of the country.
Addressing newsmen at the Theater Command Headquarters, the COAS assured that the troops would be encouraged and equipped with adequate equipments and motivated with their welfare packages and prompt payments of salaries and allowances as well as catered for medically, provided with adequate accommodation facilities and training facilities and kits.
