College provost commends Gov. Sule for his projects driven initiatives

The Provost, College of Health Technology, Keffi Mr. Suleiman Muhammed has commended the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for his projects driven initiatives, most especially the construction of classrooms, laboratory halls and administrative offices at the permanent site of the college.

The Provost gave the commendation on Thursday at the college premises during the conduct entrance examination to applicants seeking admission in to the college.

Interacting with journalists shortly after the end of the exercise, Mr. Suleiman Muhammed said the college which was operating at the temporary site in Keffi town has been relocated to its permanent site through the efforts of the education friendly governor.

Mr. Muhammed said Governor Sule had approved and released funds for the relocation of the college after granting it the current status from a school to a college, which enabled the change of the status to appoint more management team.

The Provost, who reiterated the determination of his administration to turn around the fortunes of the college, commended the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for accrediting three courses for the college where the Joint Administration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will be conducting admissions.

While noting that the entrance examination is an annual event that afford them the opportunity to give admissions, Mr. Muhammed added that about 1,000 candidates will be admitted this year through Computer Based Test (CBT).

On his part, The College Academic Planning Officer Mr. Emmanuel Timshana while briefing journalists, said the orientation exercise done by the college has afforded the applicants the opportunity to create password and upload the results of the entrance examination as soon as the exercise is over.

He assured that the admission which is given to applicants on quarter basis will be based strictly on merit as the graduates are expected to handle human lives and cannot be toiled with.
