President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received a high-level delegation from the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, underscoring Nigeria’s strategic partnership with the United States on security and regional stability.
Pictures of the visit was shared by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga in a post via his X handle on Sunday.

Onanuga said the courtesy visit brought together the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, Keith Heffern; Commander of U.S. AFRICOM, General Dagvin Anderson; Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Others include: the Senior Foreign Policy Adviser to AFRICOM, Ambassador Peter Vrooman; and Command Sergeant Major Garric M. Banfield, AFRICOM’s Command Senior Enlisted Leader.

He said the discussions focused on strengthening security cooperation, counterterrorism efforts, and deepening diplomatic ties in the interest of peace and stability across Africa.
