His Royal Highness the Shehu of Borno Alh Dr Abubakar lbn Umar Garbai El kanemi CFR fnse has called on all lmams to offer special prayers on Friday, 21st July, 2023 to seek Almighty Allah’s intervention due to the delayed rainfall in Borno State.
The Shehu of Borno made the call in a statement issued on Thursday in Maidugiri by Zanna Laisu Kazalma Secretary Borno Emirate Council.
According to the release, the Shehu asked all the five daily Congregation mosque in all communities to offer similar prayer/supplications to Allah for his quick intervention and forgiveness.
The Shehu of Borno also directed District and village Heads across the State to mobilise the Muslim Umma in their respective domains to reach out to the needy, orphans and disable.
He further enjoined Muslim to offer sadaka (almsgiving) regularly in the community , stressing that the umma should also restraint from all forms of social vices and imbibe the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Hadith of the prophet Muhammad SAW.
The traditional ruler, further, advised all parents to counsel their wards to desist from immoral behaviors, misconduct, social vices and also urged all traders and business operators to fear Allah in conducting their lawful business.
