FCT Ministers mourns COAS, others

The late Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, died in an air crash, Friday evening, May 21, 2021, alongside 11 other people on a trip to Kaduna

By JOHN ONAH, Abuja=The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has expressed deep sadness on the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other members of the Nigerian Armed Forces in a plane crash that occurred in Kaduna on Friday, 21st May 2021.

On behalf of the FCT Administration and residents of the FCT, Malam Bello extends his deepest condolences to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Minister of Defence, Maj. Gen Bashir Magashi, the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Isiaka Amao, the Officers and Men of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Airforce as well as the families of the deceased.

 While praying for the repose of the souls of the departed, Malam Bello equally prays that the Almighty spares Nigeria such a national tragedy in future.
