Benue Governor-elect, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has constituted 12 sub-committees under the main Transition Committee for his inauguration on May 29.
The sub-committees are to plan a worthwhile inauguration and oath taking ceremony of the governor-elect.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by Chief Mike Iordye and Mr Dan Ashiekaa, Chairman and Secretary of the Transition Committee, respectively.
Alia urged members of the sub-committees to meet as soon as possible, draw up and submit their budgets on time.
Meanwhile, the Director of Communication to the Governor-elect, Sir Tersoo Kulas, said the various sub-committees have the mandate to organise activities that will herald the main event.
He stated that Alia, Comrade Austin Agada, Chief Stephen Lawani, Dan Ashiekaa and all APC local government chairmen will oversee the successful operation of all the sub-committees.
The sub-committees include that of Venue, Contact, Transportation, Mobilization and Demobilization, Media and Publicity, Security, Logistics, feeding and Protocol.
Others are Entertainment, Medicals, Accommodation, Religious affairs, Monitoring and Evaluation, among others.(NAN)
