Galatasaray have confirmed that Victor Osimhen would not play in their upcoming cup fixture.
The club said the striker has been placed on an individual recovery programme alongside other first-team players. The update was shared on the club’s official page on X, where officials explained that the decision is aimed at managing fitness and workload.
In his last outing, Osimhen contributed to the attack with sharp movement and several key chances, helping the side maintain pressure in the final third. He has remained an important figure in the team’s forward line since joining.
Galatasaray stressed that the move is about rest and recovery rather than any disciplinary issue.
Osimhen will therefore miss the cup tie as the team prepares for the match.
