Gov. Sule offers automatic employment to daughters of Late Dameshi

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has pledged to offer employment opportunities to the two daughters of late Dameshi Luka Barau, the former Deputy Governor of the state.

Governor Sule, made the pledge at the funeral service held in honour of the late Dameshi, at the King’s Summit Church, GRA Akwanga, Nasarawa State on Thursday.

The governor, was responding to a request by the Chun Mada, Pastor Samson Gamu Yare, urging him to give automatic employment to Barr. Joan Dameshi and Dr. Esther Dameshi, who are the daughters of late Dameshi Barau.

Gov Sule, said any right thinking government will assist the family of someone like late Dameshi Barau, who contributed immensely to the development of the state.

Engineer Sule, said the straightforward nature and commitment of Dameshi Luka, to positive ideals was what has endeared him to the late statesman, saying his death has not only created a vacuum in Mada land, but the entire state.

Describing the late Dameshi Barau Luka, as a man of sacrifice, Governor Sule, in an emotionally laden voice said the late former Deputy Governor, lived a life worthy of emulation.

On his part, the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura, with whom he served as Deputy from 2011 – 2015, described Dameshi Barau, as a down to earth individual who is development inclined.

Al-Makura, said the Late Dameshi, was a dependable, commendable and loyal friend, who is always available to assist in adding value to any situation.

Senator Godiya Akwashiki, on his part, described the late Dameshi Barau, as a dogged fighter, who stood firm and ensure the restoration of Chun Mada’s stool that was in comatose for over 30 years.

Senator Akwashiki, called on Mada sons and daughters to eschew their political differences to ensure the liberation of their lands.

The Chun Mada, Samson Gamu Yare among other prominent individuals also paid glowing tribute to the late former deputy governor, as prayers for the repose of his soul and the success of his five children held sway.

In an exhortation, Professor Rueben Ishaya Chuga, emphasised the need for fear of God and intensified love among individuals, saying people must learn to always leave a righteous life by avoiding competition, instead they must learn to corporate with each other, for it is the only way to success and salvation.

Prof Chuga, maintained that death is inevitable to all mortals, as such he said people must learn to leave a life that is devoid of any selfish motive and ensure they always share in the plight of others.

Recall that Dameshi Barau, died on 26/12/2022, at Zenith Hospital Abuja, after a protracted illness at the age of 58 years and was buried on 5th January, 2023 at his country home in Ningo, Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
