
President Muhammadu Buhari presented the award to Engr. Sule, at a ceremony inside the presidential villa, in Abuja, on Friday.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has received the Nigerian Excellence Award in Pubic Service for his inroads in the agricultural sector.
President Muhammadu Buhari presented the award to Engr. Sule, at a ceremony inside the presidential villa, in Abuja, on Friday.
Gov Sule was among 15 other state governors honoured by the President.
Similarly, former president Goodluck Jonathan, was among the 43 prominent Nigerians that received the awards.
Gov Sule, while reacting over the recognition from President Buhari, dedicated the award to the people of Nasarawa State, investors who believe in the state and invested in agriculture, as well as the communities where the these investments were sited.
The governor said Nasarawa State never had it so good, especially after about 13 indigenes of the state, including traditional rulers, community leaders, politicians and other category of people, who received the national merit award last week.
He appreciated the people of the state for their support, adding that the state government remains grateful to the Federal Government, especially President Bihari and the committee for the nomination for the recognition.
“Naturally I will feel happy, naturally I will also feel excited and I will feel highly grateful to the Almighty Allah, for giving us the opportunity to witness what we are witnessing for our state today.
“It’s something new for our state in the sense that the merit award you are talking about last week, we had about 13 indigenes of Nasarawa State from traditional rulers, to community leaders, to other politicians and so many category of our people who received the award ” he added.
The Governor further disclosed that, a Kenyan investor, recently indicated interest to engage in commercial agriculture around the Tida Dam, in Akwanga Local Government Area.
“The award has come handy and we are very grateful,” he stated.
The Executive Secretary, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib, who hails from Nasarawa State, also received the NEAPS award in the area of health.
