Gov. Sule urges Nasarawa traditional rulers to shun partisan politics

The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has advised traditional rulers in the state not to engage in partisan politics as they remain the custodian of culture and tradition of the people.

Governor Sule gave the charge recently in Lafia during the lunch of a book titled: “Administrative Guru, An Authorised Biography of His Royal Highness, H.E. Halilu Bala Usman” the 3rd Osu Ajiri and the traditional Chief of Edege Chifdom. The book is written by Adamu Usman Agyeni.

 

The Governor, who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of traditional rulers in the state extolled the leadership qualities of the celebrant for ensuring that sustained peace exist in his chiefdom despite continued efforts by bandits and terrorists that have for long been operating around the area.

He admonished them to maintain their continued loyalty to his administration as he is poised to look into their welfare.

In his speech at the event, the. chairman of the occasion, Amb. Umaru Suleiman Azores expressed satisfaction with the administrative qualities of Alhaji Halilu Bala Usman”whose administrative acumen spans for decades and commended the young author for chronicling the activities of the royal father

Speaking at the occasion, the Emir of Lafia and Chairman Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed retired, thanked the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule for his welfare packages to traditional Rulers, while the Guest Speaker at the occasion, Professor Suleiman Bala Muhammed, who is the Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi advised traditional rulers to always expose criminals hiding in their territories.
