
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has felicitated with the people of the state over its 49th anniversary and expressed the belief for a brighter future.
The governor who recalled that Benue State was created by “the ingenious authority of the late Head of State, Gen. Murtala Muhammed, lamented that the State has passed through the custodianship of various leaders, each contributing to our prosperous tapestry.”
“Thus, under the stewardship of the incumbent Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, we have undertaken a reformative journey targeted at reawakening the fortunes of our beloved state. In less than half the first tenure, we have achieved considerable breakthroughs.
“Agriculture and Agribusiness: Programmes to boost agricultural productivity and agribusiness are in motion, ensuring food security and enhancing the livelihoods of our farmers and generality of the populace.
“Infrastructure and Environment: As already practically seen from all angles of the state, we are determined to rehabilitate our roads, open new ones, construct and fix public facilities, and make Benue more accessible and foster economic growth.
“Healthcare and Social Development Initiatives: This administration is working meticulously to advance healthcare facilities and ensure that quality healthcare is available to all citizens.
Governor Alia insisted that there were also tremendous indicators in almost all the sectors including, Justice and Public Order; Humanitarian Services, Transport sector, Security of Lives and Property, Education, Staff Welfare, Economy, Commerce, and Wealth Creation
According to the Governor “as we mark the 49th Anniversary of our state today, 3rd of February, let us ponder on our adventure; one filled with struggles and impediments, triumphs, and a shared vision for a brighter future.”
These achievements, Alia assured were just the beginning as his administration anticipated a Benue State where every citizen would experience prosperity, security, and opportunity.
He noted that this target could be achieved through collaboration determination of all stakeholders, community leaders, traditional rulers, business owners, and energetic youth.
“As we celebrate these major landmarks in our State at 49, let us remain resolute in our obligations to Project Benue. The government extends a hand of fellowship to all stakeholders to join hands with it in this noble endeavor. Your participation and dedication are necessary for the success of our shared goals.
“In this spirit of oneness, we call upon you to keep our Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, in your daily prayers. His leadership is committed to serving the common people, and your support is necessary for him to foster happiness and prosperity to every home in Benue State.”
