A private institution, under the aegis of Famous Star Institute Of Management and Technology (FSIMT) Karu, in Nasarawa State, has offers scholarship to students for two years National Diploma programme.
Addressing the students at the institution campus in Masaka during orientation, the Director of FSIMT, Mr. Rabo Maikasuwa stressed that the huge scholarship offered is to reduce the level of illiteracy rate in Nigeria, and also empower the youths who are vulnerable.
Rabo, reiterated that education remains the backbone of national development, good governance and individual transformation for the betterment of the society.
He added that, FSIMT has nine professional departments, such as Auxiliary Nursing, Architecture, Electrical Electronic Technology, Mass Communication, Accountancy, Business Administration, Public Administration, Science Laboratory Technology and Computer Science, to train youths in various area of manpower and skills acquisitions.
Presenting the institution rules and regulations, the acting Registrar, Mr Danjuma Hassan, said, FSIMT will never tolerates any act of misconduct from any students, especially, cultism, smoking, drunkenness, indecent dressing, criminality among other social vices.
Danjuma, appealed to the students to take advantage of the opportunity they have seriously, study hard and always attend lectures as scheduled.
In the same vein, the Head Of Department (HOD), Auxiliary Nursing, Mrs. Joy Rabo, said Nigeria is facing a massive brain drain in the health sector, which created a higher demand for health workers in the country.
Also, The HOD Business Administration, Dr. Isaac. I. advised the scholarship beneficiaries to be mindful on managing opportunities to avoid ‘if had I know’.
