The Japanese fibre giant, Kanekalon collaboration workshop with the Nigeria Association Of Hairdressers Cosmetics And Barbers -NASHCOB- Ekiti state Chapter has concluded the first phase of partnership series with X – Pression on March 14, 2025 in Shalom hall secretariat road, Ado Ekiti by highlighting the features of their product.
The Kanekalon representative Miebi Egbebo, during the workshop emphasized that Kanekalon has been in business for over 35 years and has been loved by customers for more than 65 years.
She highlighted the following features of their product to inclue, Soft touch, Easy to braid, Flame Retardant,Time-saving and Hot water friendly
The Nigeria Association Of Hairdressers Cosmetics And Barbers -NASHCOB- Ekiti state Chapter led by Mother Celestial Ayodele Mary, earlier in her welcome address recognized the executive members from different zones and local governments, and also expressed her gratitude to have X-Pression,
She therefore seeks for more collaboration between Kanekalon, X – Pression and NASHCOB.
Mary expressed how much they missed using Kanekalon fiber products, due to the high standard quality of their human hair, and was glad that they were back again in today’s market in Ekiti state.
Speaking on behalf of X-pression, Aduragbemi highlighted on the collaboration between X – Pression and Kanekalon, explaining how to distinguish genuine X – Pression products from counterfeit ones.
He mentioned their recent appearance at the Oja Oba market in Ado Ekiti, where they focused on promotion and awareness of their latest product, GEM BRAID, which comes in a variety of colors and also directed where it can be purchased within Ekiti State, including options for doorstep delivery.
Mr. Aduragbemi, while encouraging customers to buy from authorized vendors, noted that the product has a very soft texture and is full – bodied and highlighted some key features of GEM BRAID;

Miebi informed that Kanekalon is a high-quality fiber produced by the Kaneka Company, which was established in 1949. She further mentioned that in 1957, they invented their signature fiber product, Kanekalon, which is used for making hair attachments. The company has expanded its reach to over 48 Sub-Saharan African countries, where Kanekalon fiber is widely utilized.
The Kanekalon representative, Miebi, for product authentication encouraged hairstylists to download a QR code scanner from the App Store or Play Store to participate in the questionnaire and collect their gifts.

The Kanekalon Collaboration workshop, also featured a styling competition where participants showcased their creativity using GEM BRAID. During the interactive session, participants engaged in the Question and Answer segment to gain in-depth knowledge about the product.
The winners who emerged at the end of the styling competition and questions and answers session were awarded cash prizes and gift packages.
The first Prize of N50000 went to Mrs Azeez Kehinde , while the second Prize went to Mrs Fatutoti Adeshola with the sum of N30,000 Naira and the
The third Prize was Mrs Alabi Adenike with N20,000 cash prizes respectively.
