Lawmaker, others commend NIS for due process, innovation

A member of the House of Representatives representing Fagge Federal Constituency, Hon. Aminu Suleiman along side other applicants have applauded the Passport Control Officer (PCO) in charge of Gwagwalada Immigration NIS office, DCI Mohammed Muhamoud Adamu for adhering to due process in discharging his responsibilities.

He disclosed this in a chat with newsman when he paid a call on the newly posted PCO of Gwagwalada.

The legislator described the appointment of Deputy Controller Immigration, DCI Adamu by the Controller General (CG) Isa Idris Jere to head the affairs of the office as a right step in a right direction in view of his experience.

He further explained that the current PCO has introduced new innovations with a view to fast track issuance of passport noting that quality services delivery has been enhanced for the benefit of applicants.

The Lawmaker noted that the PCO was making efforts to sanitise activities of the office as well as to build staff capacity for efficiency.

Also contributing an Applicant, Mrs. Elizabeth Martins tasked others to emulate the leadership qualities exhibited by the PCO more especially in the area promoting human relations.

She further added that on assumption of Adamu has brought positive changes through introducing policies and programmes aimed at tackling delay and long queues.

Similarly, a 400 level student of Computer Science University of Abuja, Gabriel Simon praised NIS for equipping the ICT centre even as he pointed out that the act had in no small measure promote service delivery.

He tasked applicants to always visited the office make payment as well as well as make themselves available for data capturing, adding those who follow due process get their passport as and when due

Meanwhile, DCI Adamu has taken over from the outgoing PCO Abbah Salihu who is promoted to the rank of Controller heading Yobe Command.
