Manchester City have completed the £46.3m signing of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan
Manchester City has sealed the signing of Netherlands midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan in a £46.3 million deal.
The 26-year-old has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Reijnders expressed his excitement, saying, “I am ecstatic to be signing for Manchester City.
City are one of the biggest teams in the world, with the best coach, world-class players, and outstanding facilities.”
Reijnders’ arrival bolsters Pep Guardiola’s midfield options following Kevin De Bruyne’s departure.
The Dutch midfielder scored 15 goals in the 2024-25 season for Milan.
This signing marks City’s fourth acquisition in a week, following the arrivals of Rayan Cherki, Marcus Bettinelli, and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The club aims to overhaul their squad after a disappointing season.
City will play their first match in the Club World Cup against Wydad Casablanca on June 18.
Director of football Hugo Viana welcomed Reijnders, saying, “Tijjani adds extra energy, composure, and creativity to our midfield.”
