
Funeral prayer for the elder statesman at the palace of Emir of Keffi.

Alhaji Abubakar O. Kana, the pioneer Commissioner of Education in Nasarawa State, during the state creation in 1996 has died at the age of 83.
Similarly, late Kana, was the pioneer Registrar of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), when it was established in 2001.
At the beginning, he was a secondary school teacher and he was also a one time chairman of Keffi Local Government Area.
A family source told our correspondent that Kana, died in Keffi, after a brief illness and had since been buried according to Islamic rites.
He is the biological father of the immediate past Commissioner of Justice in Nasarawa State, Prof Abdulkarim A. Kana.
Gov Abdullahi A. Sule, of Nasarawa State, who attended the funeral prayer in honour late Elder Statesman at the Emir palace Keffi, condoled with the Keffi Emirates and the family members over the loss.
