
Chairman NBA Keffi, Egya John Nuhu

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Keffi chapter has elected a new leadership to pilot the affairs of the noble profession.
The election which was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere in the High Court premises, Keffi in Nasarawa State gives victory to Barrister Egya John Nuhu as the chairman of the association.
Announcing the election results, the chairman of the electoral committee, Barrister Haruna Favour, said Egya Nuhu who got 58 votes defeating Barrister Jegede Oarhe, who had 18 votes.
Meanwhile, the position of Vice Chairman goes to Kaigama Ibrahim , while, Haruna Ramalan Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, Amanambu Isaac, as well as Financial Secretary Na’ Allah Abniyilo, Publicity Secretary, Abdulmuhsin Wakawa, Social Secretary, Christopher Ambla and Barrister Alexander Epu takes the position of provost respectively.
Presenting his handing over speech, the outgoing chairman, Barrister Moses Ede said the law profession is build on the background of integrity and respect,
Ede, urged the a grieved members to put aside their differences and embrace the new leadership for the benefit of the bar.
In the same vein, the chairman of Udege Development Area, Hon.Salihu Adamu stated that the victory of Nuhu Egya is deserved, stressing that Nuhu Egya has the capacity and very competent to lead the association to greater height.
Adamu added that, Barr. Nuhu Egya victory is the pride of entire Afo nation, as he appealed to all the NBA members to embrace peace work as a team support the leadership of the newly elected EXCO to succeed.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman elect, Barrister Egya Nuhu expressed gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to lead NBA Keffi.
Egya who’s tenure is for two years promised to follow the part of his predecessor, complete projects initiated by the former leadership,
He stressed that his stewardship will lift the quality of the profession and welfare of members, and ensure to purchase a vehicle for the association before leaving office.
He said the task saddled to sustain the association is to unite members and urged his colleagues to stand by him and make correction in the area of needs.
