Nigeria has exceeded its OPEC crude oil production quota of 1.5 million barrels per day (bpd) for the second time in 2025.
According to OPEC’s Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR) for July 2025, Nigeria recorded a crude oil production of 1,505,000 bpd in June 2025.
Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) reported that the country’s average daily crude production was 1,505,474 bpd, representing 100.4% of the OPEC quota.
The commission also stated that the daily average production in June was 1,697,045 barrels of oil per day (bopd), comprising both crude oil and condensate.
*Improvement in crude oil production*
The report showed an improvement in crude production compared to previous months, with oil production, including crude and condensate, averaging approximately 1.7 million bpd.
This development highlights Nigeria’s growing oil production capacity.
