Federal Government has ordered that national flags across Nigeria be flown at half-mast for seven days in honor of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
President Bola Tinubu gave the directive as a mark of respect to the former president’s memory.
“As a mark of respect to the former president Buhari, who died on Sunday, President Bola Tinubu has directed that all national flags fly at half-mast across the country for seven days from Sunday,” said Alhaji Abdulganiyu Dare, Director of NOA in Kwara.
The NOA has urged all concerned organizations, establishments, and individuals to act accordingly as the nation honors Buhari’s services and prays for his peaceful repose.
The gesture is a symbol of collective grief and respect, reflecting on Buhari’s contributions to Nigeria’s development.
