Enugu Billionaire ritualist and kidnapper
By UKA NWAFOR, Abakaliki –
A Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Officer, Prince Orji Ugochukwu (Facebook name: Okeosisi Ugo), has demonstrated remarkable integrity by rejecting a substantial bribe of N10 million and an iPhone from a notorious ritualist, Ezeani, also known as “Ichie Billion” or “Ezeani, dey play, dey show.”
It was gathered that Ezeani was attempting to escape the country to avoid facing justice for his alleged crimes.
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that Ezeani’s alleged crimes are shocking, including burying several victims alive in a soak-away in his compound in Umumba, Ezeagu, Enugu. The suspect claimed he was being set up and that it was his turn to become the Igwe (traditional ruler) of his community.

According to Officer Ugochukwu’s account, he recognized Ezeani at a checkpoint along Seme Road while discharging his duty on Wednesday afternoon. Ezeani was trying to flee on a bike, wearing a face cap, but the officer’s diligence and prior knowledge of the suspect’s picture, which had gone viral on social media, led to his capture.
*“I saw a bike carrying a young man, who was wearing a face cap, his face flashed back in me, because I got a piece of information about the man trying to escape plus his picture that has been going viral on social media, so I tried to stop the bike carrying him but he refused to stop…”*
Upon catching Ezeani, the suspect attempted to bribe the officer to secure his release:
“He decided to offer me 10 million naira (blood money) to let him go. I refused to collect his blood money… He further added his iPhone 13 promax and Tecno camon 19, saying his iPhone 13 promax was worth a million naira, but I refused his offer and force him back to my checkpoint at Gbaji Seme Road, then I snapped him those pictures going viral online and sent signal to my command which is Seme Border Patrol Command.
“When I confirmed that he was truly the one I quickly handcuff him and move him to our command head office immediately. Even my colleagues were doubting because nobody recognised him except me. “ He said.
NIS confirms arrest of notorious ritualist Obieze
Meanwhile, the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has confirmed the arrest of Obieze, a notorious ritualist from Enugu State. According to Nandap, Obieze was apprehended at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.
“Acting on credible intelligence, officers of the NIS Lagos State Border Patrol Command apprehended Obieze… The suspect was found in possession of a National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) enrollment slip, which confirmed his identity.”*
Obieze, a known traditionalist, was allegedly involved in the abduction of a 13-year-old girl, who was later rescued by the Nigeria Police Force from a shrine linked to the suspect. Nandap stated that the NIS is working closely with the police to ensure a seamless handover of the suspect for further investigation and prosecution.
“The NIS is committed to national security and border control, and we will continue to support law enforcement agencies in the fight against cross-border crimes.”*
The NIS CG reaffirmed the service’s commitment to collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to combat crimes and ensure national security.
