Ortom congratulates Akume at 71

The former Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom has joined millions of patriotic Nigerians in celebrating the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume on his 71st birthday.

In a press statement by the Media Aide to the immediate past Governor, Terver Akase described Senator Akume as a statesman and leader who has made significant contributions to the development of the nation in his public service career.

The statement revealed that Senator Akume has groomed and positioned countless people including technocrats, politicians and professionals in various fields, adding that his legacy of vision and mentorship would continue to positively impact on many lives.

He said: “Senator Akume’s journey in public service has been nothing short of outstanding. As a former Governor of Benue State and a three-time Senator who represented the Benue North West Senatorial District, Minister of the Federal Republic and now SGF, Senator Akume has demonstrated unparalleled commitment to the welfare of his people and the country as a whole”.

“As Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Akume’s role has been pivotal in enabling the administration of President Bola Tinubu to confront the challenging economic situation in the country”.

Ortom prayed that God should grant the SGF many more years of good health, happiness, and continued success.
