Olubadan designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has endorsed Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The approval followed a Wednesday meeting involving a state government delegation, Oba Ladoja, and members of the Olubadan Advisory Council.
Chief Adeola Oloko, media aide to Oba Ladoja, confirmed that the installation ceremony is scheduled for September 26 at Mapo Hall, Oja-oba, Ibadan.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ladoja, a former Oyo State governor, returned to Ibadan on Monday after being away for several weeks.
The Olubadan Advisory Council nominated him on August 4, following the passing of the late Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7.
