Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang
Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has shed light on the security situation in the state, asserting that it is relatively safer compared to other states in the North-Central region.
Despite recent violent incidents, the governor remains optimistic about the state’s security prospects.
During an interactive session with journalists in Jos, Mutfwang highlighted the efforts his administration has made to address security challenges.
The governor noted that security issues in Plateau State predated his administration, but emphasized that his government has been working tirelessly to tackle the menace.
He expressed disappointment that security challenges persist, despite the government’s efforts. Mutfwang, however, assured citizens that the government’s strategies would soon yield positive results.
Mutfwang pointed out that Plateau State is relatively safer than other states in the North-Central region. A key indicator of this relative safety, according to him, is that there are no Local Government Areas in the state that are completely inaccessible due to insecurity. This, he said, is a testament to the government’s efforts in maintaining law and order.
To further enhance security, Mutfwang promised to revamp existing policies and strengthen the capacity of Operation Rainbow, the state’s security outfit. This would enable better intelligence gathering and more effective security operations.
The governor also pledged to collaborate with the military and other security agencies to safeguard lives and property.
Mutfwang emphasized the importance of peace and stability in Plateau State, assuring citizens that his administration would continue to work towards stemming the tide of insecurity.
He expressed confidence that the efforts being put in place would lead to significant improvements in the security situation.
The governor called on residents of Plateau State to support his administration’s efforts to improve security. He emphasized the need for collective action in addressing the security challenges facing the state. By working together, Mutfwang said, the state can overcome its security challenges.
Mutfwang assured citizens of his commitment to providing quality and sustainable leadership. He emphasized that security is a key aspect of his administration’s priorities and that everything possible would be done to ensure the safety of lives and property.
