The arrested suspect

The Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested an 18-year old suspected vandal, Mubarak Abdullahi, for stealing LED road stud lights on the newly renovated Third Mainland Bridge.
The suspect was caught red-handed by operatives on patrol around 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
Mr. Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this in a post on Friday via his X handle@MR_JAGs.
At the time of his arrest, Abdullahi had already removed 10 LED road stud lights, which are essential for enhancing road visibility.
It would be recalled that the RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, had deployed bike riders for 24-hour security patrols in the area weeks ago to monitor traffic and infrastructure on the bridge.
