A 34-year old man, Adeshina Abdullaziz, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 3-year old child (name withheld), in Bauchi.
The Police arrested the suspect, a resident of Igbo quarters in Bauchi metropolis, after he allegedly lured the child to his room and sexually molested her.
The Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakili, who stated this in a press release issued to journalists in Bauchi on Monday, said the incident happened on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020.
Wakili, who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police said: “On the 2nd August, 2020 at about 8.00am, the suspect, Adeshina Abdulazizi (34), lured the victim into his room situated at Igbo Quarters Bauchi and forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her against her consent.
“Immediately the Police received the information, he was promptly arrested.
“He confessed to the crime and stated that he has raped not less than four different minors in the area.”
He stated that the case is under investigation after which, the suspect, would be charged to court for prosecution.
