Prof. Gambari to chair UNICAL’s 35th Convocation Lecture – VC

Professor Ibrahim Gambari, The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari is expected in Calabar on Thursday to chaired the 35th Convocation Lecture of the University of Calabar (UNICAL).

The Vice Chancellor of UNICAL, Prof. Florence Obi stated this on Monday while addressing journalists at the university’s Senate Chambers, Calabar.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Gambari, a renowned diplomat, season researcher and accomplished academics and administrator will be speaking on the topic: “The Leadership and Followership Question in Nigeria: Imperative of Ethical Re-Orientation at the International Conference Center, University of Calabar.

Prof. Obi noted that series of activities have been line up as part of the 35th Convocation ceremonies

She said: “The research fair and exhibition will be a two day event, and will be extensively package our unique and creative potentials and research work for marketability to the world “

The VC noted that the Chancellor of the University, Aminu Ado Bayero is due to arrive Calabar and will be paying a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade.

“The first event for the day is a mile stone because it’s the investiture of of the 6th Chancellor of the University of Calabar, who is the current Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero”, she said.

Professor Obi, further, disclosed that the awards of first degrees and diploma, PGD, Masters, will take place on Friday
