Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo has completed the purchase of a 25 percent stake in Spanish club Almeria, moving further into football ownership.
The deal makes the former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward a minority shareholder in the club, which currently competes in Spain’s second division and is owned by a Saudi investment group
The agreement was reported by the Associated Press, which confirmed that the transaction has been finalised but said financial details were not disclosed.
The report noted that Ronaldo made the investment through his business company.
Transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano also reported the development on X, stating that the deal had been completed and citing confirmation from club sources.
With the move now official, Ronaldo adds club ownership to his growing business interests after an already decorated playing career.
It remains to be seen how involved he will be in the club’s sporting decisions and future strategy.
