
Liyel Imoke, former Governor of Cross River State

Former governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke, has said for over 14 years the Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF) has been dedicated to empowering young lives through robust leadership programmes, receiving feedback from the beneficiaries year after year.
The Bridge Leadership Foundation is a not for profit organization with the vision to raise a Community of inspired equipped and influential young leaders.
Speaking at the event which was held at the Calabar International Convention Centre, Senator Imoke said ” Today we gathered to exchange ideas, challenge conventional wisdom and explore innovative solutions.
” We are privilege to have industry experts including Ms Chioma Ude, Founder, Africa International Firms Festival and Mr John Ugbe CEO of West Africa, Multichoice who will share their insight and inspire us with their journeys.
“Our Theme this year “The Creative Economy : Building Nigeria’s Future Through Youth”, focuses on the transformative potential of the creative economy amids challenges such as limited resources and infrastructure.
He said despite the challenges, Nigerian youths have immerse potential to lead in innovation if given the support.
The Chief Executive Officer of West Africa, Multichoice, John Ugbe, said 41 percent of the Nigerian population is made of young people unlike their counterpart from the United States of America that consist of the aging population.
In her remarks, a member Board of Trustee, Oni Abimbola, said for the past 13 years, the Bridge Leadership Foundation has awarded scholarship to over 1000 students through its annual scholarship award and recognition.
Founder Africa International firm Festivals, Chioma Ude and John Ugbe of MultiChoice interacted with the participants for the two day event held at the Calabar International Convention Centre Calabar.
