Senator Abba Moro representing Benue South Senatorial District
By JOHN ONAH, Abuja–
The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, on behalf of the good people of the senatorial district, has welcomed the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, to Benue State.
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that the COAS relocated to the state over sustained attacks on Benue communities by herdsmen and armed groups resulting in several deaths and wanton destruction of property.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John on Tuesday in Abuja, Senator Moro saluted the army boss’s decision, describing it as ‘timely’. He says the presence of the army chief in the state will stem the tides of the attacks and restore relative peace.
The senator assured of his full support and the cooperation of his constituents to nip the tetra-headed monster in the bud.
