President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Friday for a working visit, as the nation gears up for a modest celebration of its 65th Independence Anniversary.
This was disclosed in a statement released by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Friday in Abuja.
Prior to his arrival in Lagos, President Tinubu was in Oyo State, where he attended the coronation ceremony of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.
During his stay in Lagos, the President is scheduled to meet with prominent figures from the private sector as well as high-ranking government officials.
The statement also revealed that Tinubu will proceed to Imo State on Tuesday, where he is expected to commission several projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
In celebration of Nigeria’s Independence, the President will also inaugurate the newly refurbished National Theatre in Lagos, which has now been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
