President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Bernard Doro for a ministerial position, urging the Senate to confirm the appointment without delay.
This request was formally communicated in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was read aloud during Wednesday’s plenary session.

“I am pleased to forward to the Senate on nomination of Dr Bernard Doro for confirmation as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the President stated.
He expressed confidence in the Senate’s cooperation, adding: “While I hope that this request will receive the usual expeditious consideration of the Senate, please accept, the distinguished Senate President, the distinguished senators, the assurances of my highest regards.”
Following the reading of the letter, Akpabio referred the matter to the Committee of the Whole for legislative action.
