A joint security operation involving troops of the 12 Brigade and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) has led to the arrest of four suspected terrorist collaborators in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The suspects were apprehended during a coordinated operation at Light Hotel along the Odumo–Kabba Road in Kabba on Saturday, July 12.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out following actionable intelligence linking the suspects to activities believed to be connected with terrorist elements operating within and around the area.
According to the sources, troops deployed at the Kabba Patrol Base worked closely with DSS operatives to execute the operation, which resulted in the successful arrest of the four suspects without incident.
Following their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Department of State Services for further investigation and other necessary legal procedures.
The operation is part of ongoing security efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist support networks and preventing the expansion of extremist activities in Kogi State and neighbouring areas.
Security agencies have continued to intensify intelligence-driven operations across the North-Central region as part of broader measures to enhance public safety and curb security threats.
