Members of vigilante group have arrested two suspected kidnappers and rescued about five abducted victims in some communities around Pali District in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Bala Ibrahim, who disclosed this to newsmen in Bauchi, said he has ordered a special patrol by the the vigilantes in the affected area.
This according to him, is part of an effort to complement the efforts of Governor Bala Mohammed and relevant security agencies, in curbing the incessant crime and criminality in the state.
The Council Caretaker Chairman, however, promised to sustain the fight against insecurity for the overall development of the local government and the state.
He also promised to intensify surveillance in and around the area to guarantee peace and security of the communities.
