Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has sharply criticized Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members joining a new opposition coalition aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking at the PDP Stakeholders Conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the PDP Governors’ Forum chairman condemned the dual allegiance, calling it “indiscipline” that the party will no longer tolerate.
“You can’t be in PDP and in a coalition or another party at the same time. Coalition is an aberration. You cannot belong to two places—you can’t be a man and a woman simultaneously,” Mohammed declared, emphasizing that members must choose one allegiance.

His stance was supported by many PDP founding members present, who agreed that loyalty to the party must
be exclusive.
The PDP, grappling with internal conflicts for over two years, recently saw its 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, resign, citing irreconcilable differences and a departure from the party’s core principles.
Similarly, former Senate President David Mark also left the PDP and was named interim chairman of the ADC-led coalition.
