9mobile rolls out special roaming offer for Hajj

9mobile, a telecommunication network, says it has rolled out a special hajj roaming offer for Nigerian pilgrims.

9mobile in a statement on Monday in Lagos, said the offer would enable the pilgrims to enjoy discounted charges on voice calls, SMS and data in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

It said the Hajj special roaming offer would be available untill Aug. 31, 2023.

It said that with the offer, voice calls within Saudi Arabia to Nigeria would cost as low as N60 per minute, while SMS would be N30 and data would go for five kobo per kilobyte (N0.005k/kb).

According to the statement, the offer also grants free incoming calls of 200 minutes upon one-off or cumulative recharge of N5000.

Kenechukwu Okonkwo, Director of Product Innovation and Business Development, 9mobile, said the Hajj offer was launched so that its customers, who were performing the 2023 Hajj could stay connected with their families, friends, and loved ones.

“The offer allows our esteemed customers to make calls to Nigeria and within Saudi Arabia, send text messages and browse the internet with their 9mobile SIMs at very affordable rates, with the added benefit of receiving calls from Nigeria free of charge.

“Customers must ensure that they roam on Zain, Saudi Arabia to enjoy these special roaming benefits, “Okonkwo said.

Okonkwo said  the telco would continue to maintain its commitment to be there for customers by keeping them seamlessly in touch with their loved ones via wholesome service delivery.

According to the director, 9mobile will continue to provide more value to its customers with new and exciting offers, which allows them to do more without incurring extra costs.
