Agim becomes first Senior Advocate of Nigeria from Obudu

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has congratulated Barr. Johnny U. Agim on his elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, (SAN).

The congratulatory message was contained in a letter to the Learned Silk following his nomination by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Hon. Odey, who represented the Governor of the State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, at the conferment ceremony had in an early message told the celebrant: “Your recent promotion to the apex of legal practice among 58 legal practitioners on the 12th of October, 2023, by the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, stands out as a testimony to your exceptional legal acumen and your unwavering commitment to excellence.

“Your remarkable achievements and contributions to the legal fraternity have not only garnered respect but have also set a sterling example for aspiring legal practitioners in Cross River where you stand out as one of the few to achieve this feat. I celebrate you especially that you are the first person from the entire Obudu Local Government Area to enter the inner bar!”

The deputy governor prayed that Barr. Agim’s wisdom, integrity and passion for justice will guide and inspire the younger generation of legal professionals and society at large.

Johnny U. Agim, Esq., SAN, is the lead counsel at Legal Assent. He carries on his legal practice in Abuja. He was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on 27th November, 2023.
