Borno Govt commends Allamin Foundation for humanitarian supports, pledges partnership

Borno  State Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Hon. Babagana Malarima has commended Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development over its role in promoting peace and supporting the vulnerable, less privileged in the society.

Hon. Malarima also pledged positive partnership with the foundation in the discharge of its mandate by supporting the activities of the organisation in rehabilitating and empowering victims of Boko Haram insurgency..

The commissioner stated this Tuesday when the Executive Director of Allamin Foundation, Hajiya Hamsatu Allamin led management staff and leaders of networks under the foundation on a courtesy call to the Commissioner.

“It is imperative for the state government to partner with the foundation for more information and activities concerning women and girls especially, those affected by the insurgency in the past 14 years of the crisis under the state government post insurgency rebuilding process and transformation agenda for peace and development”, he said.

Malarima appreciated the efforts and sacrifices of the foundation in supporting and assisting the victims of the insurgency in the state.
He urged the founder and management of the organization to maintain the tempo and strive to higher level while praying for continuous peace in the state and God to strengthen the foundation to serve humanity more.

Executive Director of Allamin Foundation, Hajiya Hamasatu Allamin, distributing food items to some of the beneficiaries

Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of Allamin Foundation, Hajiya Hamasatu Allamin had announced the donation of food items and N40, 000 cash given to each of the 45 released detainees selected for the first phase of the training programme by the foundation.

Items donated to the detainees include 25kg rice, 10kg beans, 3 litters vegetable oil abd 2 sachets of maggi cubes in addition to N5000 transport fare and N40, 000 cash empowerment.
